I'm confused. did you not get my answer re: travel to Hawaii that I sent yesterday? (sorry: had root canal and so it took me a tad longer to respond than normal...) but I DID answer....

basically to rehash what I said: ask about a bassinet for baby as a way to get him/her to sleep on flight/be more comfortable. Jet lag is unavoidable and often takes up to 3 days to get over. But what you can do: start changing your baby's schedule NOW to accommodate Hawaii time (or at least shave a couple hours off your normal sked to get at least halfway there). It won't be easy.....I'm not sure where you're travelling from and if it's the East Coast, it will be a long trip (with reverse jet lag). I had also suggested trying Benadryl as a way to get baby to sleep on the flight -- though many people are on the fence on that one. Some babies it makes tired; others it makes wired -- you should try it out at home first. I also suggested bringing some inexpensive toys/diversions for the long flight. Similarly, I had suggested bringing lots of diapers (more than you think you need), wipes and a couple changes of clothes.
