Hello Christine....once again I need your help! I want to say I really appreciate everything that you do...you go out of your way to help people like myself and I wanted to thank you :). I wanted to ask if you could help with my brother Joe. He is living with my mother right now because he wrote a suicide letter and my grandma found and she called the police & they took him to get help. Well after he got out the gave him medicine and told him that he suffers from depression and that he's a scitz (I have no idea how to spell that). So my mother opened her home up got him a job and now he's right back on the same path stealing from her (her medication & money). He's always had a problem with drugs also because I let him move in with me and he stole everything I had just to get his fix. I was wondering if you might help me understand what's he going through because he won't talk to me. I mean any advice would be great to help my mother understand and help guide her....thank you so much again have a blessed day |

Hi -
The first thing that comes up is the message that we can't change people, heal them or do their work for them. And I believe that this is both a lesson for you and your mother. It is difficult to sometimes to come to this realization, but it is true. If the person in question doesn't want to be helped, or won't help him/her self, then no effort on behalf of someone else will offer any kind of true assistance.
