Decrease in Milk Supply Still more less Question It's been a couple of weeks now and my supply seems to still be way down   It started decreasing right before Christmas so you had said it could be caused by stress   I have been pumping 2 3 times extra a day and taking More Milk supplements   My baby was a preemie so he takes about 3 1/2 ounces every 4 hours (he's 11 weeks old) and I'm afraid he may not be getting enough   I pump so that I can have an extra supply but each time I do I only get about 1 2 ounces total   It takes me just about a whole day to pump 2 3 times to get just one bottle's worth to freeze   I'm getting more worried like I said b/c it has been a while like this   What else can I do

low milk supply more less Question I need some serious help    I feel like a failure because my milk is not at a level it should be and my baby is not gaining weight   He was 6  14 at birth and a month has passed and now he only weighs 7 pounds 1 ounce   My engorgement has dwindled to nothing   I am doing everything that I have been told to do   I pump after he only feeds off of me for a short time and I am taking fenugreen supplements   And now I have to supplement with formula which I do not want to   What am I doing wrong   After I weighed my poor little guy they found after I feed him on both sides for a total of 40 minutes that he is only getting 1 ounce   My breasts seemed to also have deflated to the size and the softness that I was before I was pregnant   It would help to get any suggestions whatsoever   My main question is if and when my milk supply will ever return

How much my 8 month old should be eating? more less Question My daughter is right at 8 months old Absolutely loves solids and generally takes bottles pretty well until recently   My question though is how much formula and solid food should she be taking Her pediatician says as long as she gets 16 oz of formula a day she will be ok but she would like it if she gets closer to 32 oz As of right now she takes 5 bottles during the day that are between 6 7 oz but rarely finishes them She has started waking up in the middle of the night to feed This has just started in the last month I thought maybe she wasn't getting enough during the day They say you can ween babies from eating in the middle of the night but I have yet to figure out how If I don't feed her she will scream until I do feed her and believe I can wait for a while but then I feel guilty for possibly "starving" her   As far as the solids go I have had mixed opinons on this A nutritionist that I spoke with said that really my daughter doesn't even need solids until she is a year old and off formula The doctor says one jar of fruit and one jar of vegy a day Like I said she likes solids but I am so worried that she get enough formula I have tried to cut back on the solids so she will finish the bottles Any advise would be greatly appreciated

fussiness more less Question My son is 5 weeks old today and feeds 3 oz every 3 4 hours   He started on Similac Advance and stopped burping and ended up with severe gassiness so we changed him to similac isomil   After one week the same thing happened   WE are now giving him Alimentum formula and he burps and gets hiccups alot now but his swallowing is very loud and gets very fussy during and after feeding even though we use gas drops after every feeding   We usually end up holding him against our chest for 30 60 minutes after each feeding because he cries if we lay him down Do you think it could be reflux   Any suggestions

Fussiness more less Question My son is 6 weeks old and for the past month or so he has been very fussy   He grunts and pulls his legs up towards his chest and also strains like it is difficult for him to have a bowel movement   The pediatrician says that it is gas and that I should give him mylicon drops3 times a day with meals   I have gone through an entire bottle of the gas drops and we are working on bottle number 2   His belly button is also sticking out and the doctor says that it will go down eventually   I don't know if all the symptoms he is having is related but I know that he is in pain and he cries so much that it makes me want to cry   Is there anything else that it could be other than just gas

decreased appetite more less Question My first concern is that almost every time my son eats from a bottle he will only eat about an ounce or so and then he starts screaming   He will cry for a minute and then start eating again only to have the same thing happen   It has gotten progressively worse in the last week   Also for the past week he only wants to eat a few ounces and then he doesn't want to eat anymore   He will wait for minutes to hours and then be ready to eat some more   It seems like we are feeding him off and on all day   He used to eat about 5 ounces almost every time he ate and now he seems to have a much decreased appetite Despite burping him frequently he still has gas even though he does burp a lot   He is just over 2 months old   I am concerned that he will start to lose weight or if he is getting enough food   One more thing he just had his first round of vaccinations last Monday   Could this be partially responsible
