Irregular Period more less Question Hi Cathy I need a professioal opinion   My periods have not been normal since having my second child 7 months ago   My period comes exactly on time but the bleeding would be so unpredictable   The flow would start barely then several days into my cycle get very heavy   It would last 7 10 days   I also noticed I was extremely fatigued and had a short fuse   I went to see my obgyn   He tested my thyroid and said it was normal as well as my blood count   He suggested I try birth control to get things regulated and put me on YAZ   I was instructed to start the pill 3 days into my next cycle   I did just this and my period was very light and ended in 7 days   5 days later I started bleeding and have not stopped   In total I have been bleeding for 24 days   I called the doctor who wanted to switch pills   I just stopped entirely two days ago   My bleed stopped briefly during the first day I stopped but started back today   My husband had a vasectomy and I don't want to take the pills   Will the bleeding ever get back to normal and what other options do I have   Doctor mentioned a hysterectomy leaving ovaries    I'm only 32   I can handle a period if it got back to "normal" for me

6 weeks two ultrasounds down. more less Question Hi Cathy We are expecting our first and have had mixed feelings about our ultrasounds The doctor had me come in at 4 weeks 6 days and they found a gestational sac She told me she was concerned since she didn't see anything Which in turn of course made us nervous Then yesterday (I was 5 weeks 6 days) we saw a yolk sac The doc told me that I most likely have a blighted ovum since she didn't see a fetal pole She also told me that even though my numbers are high that she should see a fetal pole She even started giving me options on "aborting" the baby or waiting for it to happen naturally I feel great and honestly I'm pretty in tuned with my body so I felt that everything was going well I have another ultrasound next Monday (which will put me at 6 weeks 6 days) to verify but she told me to not be to hopeful   Any words of wisdom you can bestow on me I

Extra lobe, or 'accessory' lobe or Succenturiate lobe in Placenta? What is it? Can it be harmful to me or babies? more less Question 31 5 days mono/di today's ultrasound tech called in a doctor who spent about 1/2 hour looking to see if I had an extra lobe or accessory lobe on the placeneta Of course being Kaiser they didn't tell me if I have one or not I have to wait and hope my Dr will share the results with me (and I'm seeing a new peri this coming week not due to want but due to distance) I'm curious if this is true why didn't they find anything until now can it happen at anyh time during preg I emailed my current perinatologist in the meantime I can't find much on it I found some stuff that says extra lobes left in can cause problems for the mother and in some rare cases it can be like vasa previa and cause the babies to bleed out is this true  Does this mean I should opt for a c section   I was hoping/wondering if you have some experience with it or know what it is and what (if any) risks there really are
