Question Cathy  Here's some good news I wanted to share with you On April 30th I gave birth to a healthy 8lb 14oz 221/2 inch long baby boy I was in labor for about 11 hours before they had to remove him by C section He was face up and his shoulders were so broad that he got stuck just before crowning It was a lot of work and very painful but sooo worth it I would do it all over again Now I just spend my days breastfeeding and staring into his beautiful brown or are they blue   eyes He eats like a horse and takes a bottle right after breastfeedng We've started giving him rice cereal once a day just to keep his belly full and he seems to respond well to this His big brother who will be 10 next week is just thrilled to finally have a sibling This little boy took a long time to get here and much pain and struggle but he was definitely worth it I hope that others who read this post realize that they always need to have hope and any amount of struggle is definitely worth it in the end Thanks so much Cathy for all your help before and during my pregnancy I was never afraid to ask you anything and you always replied in a timely fashion Take care Suzanne Answer suzanne32 1 317 6/5/08 12:06 am   Late cycle, negative tests... Question Over the last two weeks I have had all the right symptoms to think I might be pregnant and was planning to test tomorrow (payday ) but yesterday I began having some mild cramping and spoting I went to lie down and took a rest thinking yea it's about time to go through this (6 week mark) but the cramping got very bad before it all but stopped I went to the bathroom and thin red blood all but poured out of me It slowed down considerably afterwards and the cramping has turn to a dull ache throughout my tummy and lower back There have been no large clots or anything and there has only been on other 'gush' of blood tha was quite  bit less than before I am aware that I could be miscarrying but unfortunately I will have to wait to see a doctor (money/time/transportation) to run any pregnant Question hi was originally thought to be 7 weeks pregnant (thats what my doctor said) i started bleeding on saturday night only enough when i went to the toilet and wiped tho it was not bright red my partner and i took a trip to the hospital and they took blood then referred me to an early pregnancy scan for monday (yesterday) how ever on the sunday i did bleed heavier and there was some clotting and pain   We took the trip to hospital for the scan on monday morning i got scanned only theg external scan couldnt pick anything up so they then used the internal scan which did pick up the baby how ever then scan put me at 5 weeks and the sonographer said the baby was lying at the very bottom off my womb but they could not see if it was attached but it looked like i was in th throws off miscarraige they have told me to come back in 10 days time and they willl re scan i think this is so they can tell if there is going to be a heart beat or not then decide what to do if my body hasnt already in the next 10 days   After the scan on monday (yesterday ) i didnt bleed all day   but when i woke on tuesday (this morning) there has been a little blood and some stabbing pain on my right hand side tho no where near my womb   I have only been sick the first day that i found out that i was pregant but not since tho this morning i have a bad case off sickness and nausea plus my breats are extremely sore and sensitive which is quite strange as part off me thinks im miscarrying the other seems very pregnant i havnt felt pregnant at all til today where as before i only knew i have had 2 miscarriages prior and my last pregnancy was 16 years ago   I have been on percocet for a back injury and have undergone several steroid injections in the past few years due to a bulging disc at L5 S1   I had no idea I could still get pregnant and did not use contraception   I had be celibate for sometime prior to this relationship   I want to have a healthy baby and donot take pain meds often but when my pain gets 10/10 I will take percocet if all other non medication attempts at pain relief fail   My perinatologist feels once in a while taking percocet will not hurt but of course strongly advises not to take anything stronger than tylenol   what to you think Can you make any recommendations on how to alleviate or lighten the pain   I use heat packs multiple pillows when that the specialist when she has done the last 3 ultrasounds the baby was so far down in position that she could not even get a good measurement of her head and the risks of all the talk of the uterus ruptureing and possibly needing to have a hiterectomy is starting to freak me out I don't understand why my Dr don't seem to be worried and still want to wait until June 11th to do the c section when
