First period after d&c procedure more less Question Hi I was wondering if you can get you period as early at three weeks after a d&c procedure   It's because I had a d&c about three weeks ago I initially bled reddish pink for about three days follow by three days of brown spotting and then nothing   About 8 days after my d&c I started to have what I thought was fertile mucus follow by a four days of the thick mucus   P S   I peed on  pregnancy test ( the really sensitive one that test levels starting at 20 hgc) 6 days after my procedure and it was stark white Thanks for your time Also do you it's a good idea for us to start trying again before we see our R&E we will be meeting him for the first time in three weeks (I've had one early loss at 5 weeks follow by two losses at 10 weeks both latter times required a d&c)

Update on pregnancy! more less Question Hi Cathy as a reminder I am the one who had early hypertension issues in my pregnancy and then none thereafter I have been debating on whether to be induced at 39/40 weeks as my OBGYN and midwives reccommend Well the update is that when I went in for my appt (2 days shy of 40 weeks) I had an NST that was not ideal I was also having pretty regular contractions and was dilated to 3 but still 50 effaced I was sent to the hospital to be monitored further and my NST and BP was great The midwife asked me to consider staying and getting a VERY low dose of pitocin just to see if it helps me to move further along as the concern was still the same about my blood pressure So we agreed I would receive a VERY LOW pitocin drip at 2 only   We started this at about midnight My midwife left and said she would come back around 6 a m and we would re evaluate then At 12:45 a m my water broke I then got MAJOR contractions and progressed QUICKLY  My daughter was born at 1:41 a m wiithout pain meds (Thanks to the hypnobirthing techniques) It all happened so fast the midwife made it JUST in time I had a GREAT experience and I have a healhty beautiful baby girl The midwife said the placenta showed no signs of calcification or other damage and my blood pressures since then have been great And my daugther is beautiful it was all worth it So all is well that ends well and it certainly is funny how things work out    Thanks again Cathy  for all of your help and best of luck to you expecting mommies out there   Rizzo

How much does bacterial vaginosis raise your risk for premature labor and PRROM? more less Question Not the end of the world but if I wasn't worried enough about preterm labor   I am already worried due to my history of LEEP and repeated cervical stenosis which required manual dilation 3 X I've had a large amount of discharge (mostly clear odorless)   since 9 weeks off and on consistant since last Wednesday so much I've been having to wear a mid heavy flow pad otherwise my underwear would be soaked Last thursday went in a Dr (not my regular) said there were no bacteria and it wasn't amniotic fluid but I was worried because I continued to have large amounts of clear watery sometimes yellow discharge and he didn't tell me what caused it so I went to Dr again today (again not regular but regular Dr office) And this time the Dr found some bacteria she said not a lot but she diagnosed me with bacterial vaginosis How much does having bacterial vagninosis up the odds for preterm labor and PRROM   BTW I am 15 weeks pregant with monochorionic twins Thanks
