working and breastfeeding more less Question I actually have 3 questions together Everywhere they say that you should be breastfeeding newborns on demand and that in 4 6 weeks they will be eating less often But my baby is over 9 weeks old and during the day she is still eating in less than two hour intervals My question is should I be letting her hang out at my boobs as much as she wants (on demand) or should I entertain her and delay eating so she would get more hungry and more time would go by (weight gain is excelent) another question: mommy has to return to work and baby does not like the bottle any suggestions right now I am away for only one feeding so it is not a problem if she does not take the bottle but soon I will have to be away for all day and that's why I was thinking that maybe she could have some other food during the day other than breastmilk like rice cereal What is the earliest age she could have it 4 months thanks for answer

Pumping enough more less Question I have to return to work in a couple of weeks and I am currently breastfeeding my son I don't seem to be able to pump enough milk all I can manage is 3 ounces combined>  I have never had a large amount of milk it seems just enough to feed him when he wants it I have never leaked any milk and you couldnt even tell I was breastfeeding he is only 3 1/2 weeks old  If I pump regularly say every 3 4 hours for a short period of time will this increase the amount of milk i produce giving me enough to store some for when he is with his caregiver   He is my fourth son but I stopped breastfeeding the others after a few weeks because I felt they were not getting enough I dont want to stop with this baby I would like to feed him as long as possible as I love the time we spend and the thought of the benefits for him   Any advice angel73 0 435 9/25/07

Hi, just a few questions.. more less Question I am 35 wks pregnant with my second child I tried very hard to breastfeed my first she gave me blood blisters because my nipples never popped out very well the nurses told me to use a syringe and squeeze the colostrum out so she got all of that here and there the nurse gave her a bit of formula out of a little cup they were dead set against giving the bottle at that stage in case of confusement I got to a point where I had to pump but had to give it toher by syringe my little one ended up being a little dehydrated by the time my breast milk come in and even then I couldn't pump enough to keep up with her(ended up using bottles) I am very worried this time that things will go that way again do you have any tips towards this kind of situation if it happens again Also I know drinking plenty of water is important while breastfeeding is it okay to drink a cuppachino or two as long as i'm keeping up the water and milk so I don't dehydrate What foods can we not eat while breastfeeding Is Yasmin contraceptive pill okay to take while breastfeeding this is what I was on before pregnancy of my first one it agrees well with my body for I have had past ones that did not so I am a little worried that the nuses or doctor will try to put me on one that goes with breastfeeding and doesn't agree with me Thanks

dieting and breastfeeding more less Question I have a baby girl who is three and a half months old   When she was two months old she started sleeping through the night   At three months I began attending Weight Watchers and dieting   At this same time my baby began to wake during the night to eat   This has worsened and she is now waking every other hour all through the night and I almost always have to nurse her to get her to go back to sleep   During the day she is still eating on a 3 hour schedule and seems satisfied after each feeding   She will not take a bottle of my stored milk between feedings so I assume she is not hungry during the day   Do you think there is a link between my diet efforts and her wakeful nights
