Breast Feeding more less Question I mainly breastfeed my 2 month old but on occasion I will give her a bottle of breastmilk About 1 2X daily (mainly at night) she is really aggitated will open her mouth for the breast but will not latch on She just moved her head back and forth with her mouth open There are times when she latches on but pulls on the breast I try to burp her and give her a break but she only cries After about 10 min I can finally get her to eat I know there is milk because in the past when she does this I have pumped and given her the bottle Also every night around 7pm she becomes extremely fussy She is also really gassy throughout the day I have tried gas drops as well as cutting caffiene and dairy out of my diet with no success I am more concerned with the feeding issue as it has become extremely frustrating for the both of us

breast feeding & pregnancy more less Question Heather I just found out that I am expecting our second child   I am currently breast feeding our six month old   I understand that breast feeding up to a year is recommended   I would love to continue but I also want to know the pros and cons with my pregnancy   I know that your uterus contract while breastfeeding    I know that thousands of mothers nursed their children long ago and healthy babies were a result   My hormones are on fire and as a result my emotions are running high   My feeling is that it is because i am doing both or even too much   Please tell me what you think Thank you K

Weight gain w/ breastfed babies more less Question Do breastfed babies normally gain more or less weight than formula fed babies   My daughter was 8lbs 13oz at birth I breastfed for only a few weeks then went to formula   My niece was 8lbs 13oz as well and she was breastfed solely for a year   My daughter has been way ahead as far as weight gain   They are both tall but my daughter is bigger   Does this have anything to with breastmilk vs formula or just how they are made

breastfeeding and fussiness more less Question Hi my baby is now 3 weeks old and for the past week we seem to be very fussy during the day there are times that I put him to the breast every hour because all the cuddling swaddling walking and reassuring in the world doesn't help and sometimes he screams as soon as he's off the breast like it hurts even if he seemed to fall asleep at the breast  He doesn't seem as upset at night just on a rare occaision but the screaming during the day is really hurting my psyche I'm afraid to burp him sometimes because that can see to prompt the scream although sometimes he's asleep and out of nowhere starts to cry and can be talked to and fall back asleep Any suggestions as to what may be causing this I feel like I'm doing something wrong If you have any suggestions on breast pumps too I would like to be able to pump so that I don't feel stressed about leaving him with grandparents too long before hurrying back to make sure he doesn't need to eat
