I have a 2 1/2 week old baby. Every time we feed her a bottle she cries

I have a 2 1/2 week old baby. Every time we feed her a bottle she cries. She starts off o.k., but when we give it back to her after taking a break to burp she starts screaming. She turns red in the face and draws her legs up to her stomach. She sucks the bottle very hard and cries. She burps well everytime we try and rarely spits up. However, after every feeding she cries for up to 30 minutes. What does this mean????

I’m sorry to hear that, Danielle. Your baby appears to be in a lot of pain. Given how quickly she develops symptoms I am tempted to think of reflux esophagitis as a possibility. This is the inflammation that occurs when acid irritates the swallowing tube. Babies then develop painful crying and arching during feeds. Allergic esophagitis is a possibility.
