staying fit and healthy weight in pregnancy   Question This is my first pregancy and I am so excited I have always been athletic and active and want to continue that throughout my pregnancy But through my first trimester ( I am in week 13) I have been tired all the time and after a full day of work ( I work on my feet most of the day) I am exhausted and have no energy for a workout I was weighed at my last Dr visit and have gained 5 lbs in the last month Even though holiday eating may have contributed to that I was a little freaked out by the quick gain My doctor says I am at a healthy weight but I am scared about gaining too much and not being able to lose it after the baby comes Do you have some tips to keep my weight in check but still stay healthy for the baby Can I do toning exercises or are those off limits and will they even help at this point What is the most important nutritional advice you could give to a pregnant woman Thanks

I need some advice. Question I am 30 weeks pregnant I have been trying to create a nighttime excercise routine stretching and doing leg lifts has been all I could come up with I want to stay in okay shape so I will have better chances of getting the baby weight off post birth I go for a walk in the morning and I am way to energetic and have way too much on my mind at night to go to sleep so I need a wind down session at night Could you suggest a sensible for my gestation toning yet calming nighttime routine Plz I really could use the advice Amanda

Son's Anxiety Question Hi Christine My son is almost 6 years old and experienced some trauma in his first few years of life He is an extremely sensitive child and anxiety rules his life Though his sensitivity is a blessing in many ways because he is a very compassionate boy the anxiety affects all aspects of his life It saddens me because I feel he often misses out on the joys of life Overall though I do think he is a happy child but the anxiety holds him back from living life to the fullest and I worry it will keep him from reaching his own potential in areas such as school friendships life in general We spend a lot of time managing his emotions and his environment He requires a very structured life he needs to know what to expect at all times He does not deal well with change or with trying new things whether it be experiences or foods or just a change in routine He refuses to participate in group sports or other activities He often cannot enjoy birthday parties or other events I am open to any suggestions you might have in regards to this issue I want my son to be happy and to be able to enjoy life without always worrying about what might happen I want to build his confidence and help him feel secure in the world I appreicate you taking the time to read and respond to this letter I am looking forward to your response Thank you Angie

desperate to be a mother. Question hi christine firstly i would like to say earlier this year i believe i was pregnant 3 times though none of these times were confirmed by a doctor as i was not very far gone in the pregnancy and it ended very quickly i am very in tune with my body and feel like im going insane with the question was i in fact pregnant at all shortly after what i believe to be my losses i found out i had an infection and this i believe this to be the cause of the losses so my first question is was i pregnant 3 times this year and second question is do you see a baby for me within the next two years because i am desperate to be a mother thank you for your time and answering my questions sarah x

Thanks for your help and another question Question Hello You helped us out over a month ago with impulse issues my son was having You recommended Activ 8 Flower essence for him and I bought some right away I also use it as does my husband who has been trying to write his master's thesis for almost a year now We also are all using Sacred Heart and notice better communication and acceptance between us in our marriage Thank you so much for introducing me to this I am almost out and about to order more and was wondering how long to use a specific essence and how to know when to stop Also my four year old who has been much better able to control his anger is having issues with wanting to be bought toys all the time and getting angry when he is told no About two weeks ago his eye was scratched when the dog who was chasing the cat ran over him as he was laying on the floor It is taking a while to heal and the doctor's visits and medicine were painful and stressful for him We rewarded his bravery with toys and now I think we went too far Is there a floral essence that would help him with this Or can you suggest some parenting tools to deal with this Also having this eye injury so close to his injuring our turtle and causing him to be euthanized I am wondering about he karmic implications of this Could you please tell me what you see surrounding this injury for Griffin Thanks again Tanya

Who should leave the home Question After reading a recent post on divorce and empathizing much with it I decided to email you about my situation I too have been in a marriage that is emotionally abusive My husband went through an alcoholism recovery program three years ago but now says that his sponsors actually forced him to say that he was indeed an alcoholic After the birth or our second daughter his behavior patterns have returned to the way in which they once were when he was drinking He denies drinking of course but does go off and binge drink on the weekends occasionally with his friends He has absolutely no accountability for his behaviors and even goes as far as manipulating our four year old when we are not getting along We have no communication as he ignores me and does not call me throughout the day I need desperately advice how to get myself out of this situation Do I get a new place for the kids and I since he is dragging his feet

baby name and sleep Question I have a wonderful calm and happy baby She is so beautiful but I am yet to discover why she does not nap well or sleep through the night I am still nursing and am wondering if I am part of the problem because of the fact that I cause her to have gas (since I am always having IBS issues) or she does not enough milk from me or is it that I need to embark on a sleep training regimen Despite the fact that she doesn't sleep a lot she is very happy My other question pertains to her name My husband came up with her birth name in the hospital which is Kaylianna Alexandria I wanted to name her Alexandria Grace but since sister is named Alexis my husband would not allow it (too similar) I currently call her "K" reluctant to call her anything else Why is this

Will Everything Work Out? Question I have a beautiful 3 1/2 yr old daughter who I love more than life itself My boyfriend and I bought a house this year and have decided it is time for another baby I had an very unusual miscarriage experience two years ago I bacame pregnant and lost it naturally right after finding out I became pregnant a second time within days of losing the first pregnancy my docs said they had never seen this before I lost that baby as well at 10 wks and had to have a DNC I want another baby so badly but am so afraid of going through the lose all over again We just started trying last month I quit taking my pills 4 months ago and started taking prenatal vitamines then My question is will we get pregnant and everything be ok Also I really want another baby girl but most of all just want a child as smart and healthy as my daughter

sex and actual age of fetus Question Hello Christine thank you for providing such a wonderful service After a year and a half of trying to concieve numerours fertility tests lots of prescriptions I am finally pregnant and it could not have happened at a better time At the beginning of t pregnancy there was some confusion with the age of the fetus as it does not coincide with my last menstrual period I have miscarried in the past and have a feeling that I could have miscarried right around the time of my last period Do you have any idea why my date is off I am currently 13 weeks and am very anxious to find out the sex of the baby as well Thanks again

dreams Question Hi I just sent you a message a few days ago asking whether you felt that I was pregnant or not Thanks for your response It's still a little too early to tell but I'll let you know the turnout after this weekend Thank you for your response though I also had something else that maybe you could answer for me I have dreams that seem to come true I can't tell the difference between dreams that are going to come true and ones that aren't I'm very intrigued they usually pertain to people that I know personally and I've had many I was wondering if you could tell me more about that If possible I'd like to be able to enhance or become more aware of that ability Sometimes I will get a premonition outside of sleeping but it's mostly limited to dreams at this point I KNOW that it's not just coincidence there are too many specific details that would rule out that possibility Thank you for your time and generousity It's very much appreciated

divorce Question Hello I am writing to ask about my divorce situation My husband and I have been legally separated for almost 3 years and we have one child (a son) My curiosity is what will happen with the divorce especially in reference to custody issues And will I my son and my family be safe My husband has been very abusive in the time I have known him as well as coming from a long line of very abusive family members He claims to have changed but It scares me more than I can express to think of what could happen when my husband comes back from where he is stationed Also it's something that I think about more and more as time wears on Please and thank you in advance for any help you can give

Impulse Control issues with my 4 year old Question Please help me This is the worst day in all of my 15 years as a mother My youngest son 4 hits and throws things We have been working on this trying to give him more attention and be more firm with our discipline He is in preschool 3 half days a week Last week on our day home together he did something of a violent nature to our dog twice enough to make her yelp I did not see it however but disciplined him for it Today he was outside playing with the water and mud while I worked on the computer Things got quiet and I heard him come upstairs 15 minutes later when I went to check on him I couldn't find him anywhere I called getting desperate but no answer Finally I found him under the covers in my other son's top bunk I knew from his silence and the look on his face that he had done something bad While searching for him outside I noticed that the top had been taken off our turtle pen He has been told not to go into the pen without an adult I then found two of our five turtles out of the pen I found the last one in the pen in the turtle house with the top of his shell broken I was screaming and sobbing I love my turtles and all of our various pets deeply and I was devastated to see one of them injured especially because I knew it was my son's fault I asked him how the shell broke and he told me he threw the turtle I sobbed even harder We have had a house full of animals his whole life and shown him nothing but care kindness and love as the way to treat these animals How could he have done this We rushed to the vet me sobbing him silent and more compliant than he has even been in his whole life The turtle had to be euthanized I tried not to use blaming words and my voice was quiet when I explained it to my son but I let him know that he was the reason that the turtle died and he did a mean bad thing to the turtle that caused him to die When we got home I took him to the pen and gave him a rock and asked him to show me what happened to the turtle just in case he dropped it not threw it He took the rock raised his arm and stopped He said he didn't want to hurt the rock by throwing it I told him that a rock is not alive like a turtle and he wouldn't hurt the rock He threw the rock down pretty hard I took his hand and told him he was having a really long time out in his room and he would be losing some of his favorite toys and movies for a while I feel so broken by this How could I have a kid who would do this kind of thing Will he grow up to be violent and or abusive And what about me I know I should have been paying more attention to him I was just telling another mom yesterday that I realized that he doesn't get enough attention and that could be why he does destructive stuff I know I should have been paying more attention to him Please help me to find a way to forgive him for hurting a defenseless animal Please help me find a way to understand him and be a better parent to him He is so different from my two older kids Thank you

trying to conciev Question i am 27 years old and have been tryin to concieve fo the past two years with no luck i recently had a hsg test which showed up as my left tube being blocked wsnt sure about my right one as this can sometimes show up as blocked due to a spasm i'm due on on period tod but it hasnt arrived as yet i took a test 2 days ago but came back as negative the rteason i took the test is because i had some spootin just over a week ago and read on the net about this maybe being implantation bleeding i got all exited thinkin i was i know i could have taken the test too soon and could be a false negative just wondering if you could shine any light on the subject am i pregant if not when will i be thanks very much desperate mum to be xx

Pregnant??? Question Hi Psychic Mom Let me start by saying I think you are an absolutely fabulous & gifted mother I have a bet going with my husband We are trying to conceive (baby #4 no less) and being a women VERY much in tune with her body I have expressed to my husband that I feel I am already pregnant All the symptoms are present and after all this will be number 4 I still have 2 more weeks to wait for the period that I am supposed to miss LoL I am experiencing extremely vivid dreams (along with the rest of the preggie symptoms) which have been indicators in ALL of my past pregnancies My question to you is if in fact I am already pregnant will this blessing be a boy P S My other 3 blessings are ALL beautiful girls

crying Question my 3 month baby girl screams about an hour after finishing her bottle and while trying to burp her what can i do to alleviate her pain i breastfed for 2 months but my milk made her sick she had a lot of gas pain and runny stools and was always crying since beng on formula i get a few smiles but mostly she is a baby who is in obvious pain i have switched formulas tried the gas drops tried the gripe water and evev reflux meds but still no relief help also i suffer from depression could my baby as well
