I just found out that some companies use ingredients in their baby products that could cause hormonal imbalances and cancer! How are moms supposed to trust a brand that is supposed to be safe for babies. How can we really trust anyone??? What\\\\\\'s next? Harmful baby food? |

Yeah, I asked the Green Expert a question too. The Ask a Expert section is the best part of RSM. It's so comofrting knowing that i can just log on and ask a question and someone who knows what they're talking about will get back to me, it's just fantastic. |

I'm surprised that anyone is still surprised by these facts. It is quite a chore to find items that will NOT hurt your child these days. Try to avoid everything from the flouride that they add to publicly-treated water, to the volatile organic compounds that are emmitted from new baby furniture. Look at baby soaps and lotions by top brands. They contain known cancer-causing ingredients (e.g., methylparaben, propylparaben), as well as ingredients that may causing infertility in males, yet chain stores continue to sell them and everyone continues to buy them. And look at formula. Much of it contains whey, a large percentage of which we import from China. Whey in China is routinely fused with melamine and formaldehyde, and has been responsible for kiling a lot of formula-fed infants. Yet we import and distribute it. Gives new meaning to buyer beware. ALWAYS research what you're using/exposing your child to, and live simply to minimize dangerous exposure. And do not, under any circumstances, trust someone else to decide what is healthy and safe. |

It's best to stick to purely organic foods for your babies |
