Hi Victoria

I am going to start ttc no 3 I have been watching my last two cycles and they have been 7 weeks apart I never really had regular cycles I did pick up that around 5 weeks into the cycle it looked like I was ovulating it took me about a year to concieve the 2 children I have I have been reading up on long cycles and was just wondering if it effects fertility in any way and is there anything I can do is it possable to ovulate 5 weeks into my cycle or is that to late or maybe this is the way mu cycles are and I'll concieve in time

Okay I know you can never know but I just want an opinion on something My history is 4 children from a previous marriage with the youngest being 11 years of age No fertility issues if anything the opposite My current husband has children as well from a previous marriage I am 38years old and I got pregnant late 2007 without even trying I lost that baby to a cord accident 28 weeks and have now been TTC for 13 cycles They have tested my FSH LH and all is normal I was ovulating on my own but they put me on clomid 50mg This cycle I had 4 mature follicles ranging from 18 21 mm on ovulation day (ultrasound confirmed) and my lining was good Do I have a good chance this month Should I have more follicles Should I just move to IUI next month Any input would be appreciated

I am looking to start ttc no 3 my last 2 cycles have been 7 weeks apart I have never really had regular cycles I did notice my cm around the 5 week time of these cycles to be watery so I presume I was ovulating I have read up a bit on long cycles do you think long cycles indicate any problem with fertility or ovulation and is there anything I should do to regulate them if im ttc or is this just the way my cycles are with no problem and I'll concieve if im ovulating regardless of cycle length I have had 2 children already Thanks for your help

fertility after mini pill misuse

Hi I just weaned my 10 month old from breastfeeding 3 weeks ago and also just stopped using the mini pill the last two weeks I had irregular use of the mini pill this last month too I took it for the first week of the pill pack and then missed 5 days in a row (forgot to reorder prescription throught the mail) then took pill for 2 days and then decided to discontinue mini pill completely Have had sex about twice a week the last few weeks Was curious when I should take a pregnancy test as my period has not returned yet since nursing and being on the mini pill I am almost positive I am ovulating though for the last few months since my baby started eating solids Do you think my chances for pregnancy are high this month with irregular use of the mini pill

Hi im 44 years of age and my husband and have been trying to have a baby for about three years now My obgyn informed me after a pelvic and vaginal sonogram that i have two fibroids about 1 1/2 centimeters each one located in the uterus and one around the wall of the uterus He suggested i have a uterine fibroid embolization Will this procedure impact fertility By the way I've had two miscarriages in the span of three years and he said that the fibroids may be the reason why He also stated that im too old to have another child

I starting trying to conceive in January 2008 I got pregnant in March miscarried at 8 weeks got pregnant in May and miscarried at 6 weeks got pregnant in July and had a D&C at 10 weeks the baby was Trisomy 16 I have not got pregnant since despite 3 rounds of fertility drugs I am 39 and have had every blood test under the sun My question is whether there may be internal scarring / damage resulting from the miscarriages / D&C which is preventing me from conceiving I would be most grateful for any advice you may have Kind Regards

I have this thing once a year where I go about 30 days before ovulating It just happens to be that time and I did get the ovary pains and all and also had intercourse around that time Is it possible to have a successful pregnancy when my follicular phase is so long I already have a son that is 1 year but I did have a miscarriage before him pregnancy at 8 weeks that was conceived during one of these long cycles Just curious if that miscarriage happened due to the long cycle and if I should be worried again should I be pregnant again I am now going 42 days and no period yet Thanks

Im trying to concieve and my doctor had my progesterone tested at 5 dpo and it was 7 5 She now thinks Im not ovulating and prescribed me clomid for when I start my period to be taken days 2 through 5 Ive been reading that 5 dpo is too early for the progesterone test Im wondering if I should ask to get it done again Im 9 dpo now and my bbt's are still staying high Any advice would be appreciated

I forgot to mention the reason acupuncture was initially recommended was because I had three miscarriages before my daughter was born I saw a fertility expert and had all kinds of tests All tests were normal One miscarriage was due to chromosomal abnormality the others most likely the same Anyway we want to try for our second child so I'm trying to improve our chances and hope to start ovulating earlier

I have been ovulating between day 20 21 and I'm having 30 31 day cycles I'm still breast feeding my one year old daughter I just recently went from nursing her twice to once a day Before I conceived I did have a history of late ovulation; it was previously around day 18 19 I saw an acupuncturist and my ovulation changed to day 15 16 I have been seeing an acupuncturist for three months now but no change so far I just wanted ask if you could share your knowledge of late ovulation Thank you

i am continuing to try to conceive after having two miscarriages (i've written about these before) after removal of endometriosis last february i was able to conceive with no problems (keeping the babies was a different story) in january of this year i had polyps removed my fertility doc said they were from the second miscarriage my question is this: why do you think i'm having difficulty conceiving this time (we've been trying since february) is it possible that the endometriosis grew back would those polyps have caused something

also i currently have a yeast infection from some antibiotics i took my doctor prescribed fluconazole 150mg can i take this pill or should i wait until i find out if i'm pregnant or not would an over the counter cream be safer

One fallopian tube IUI as high responder

I am 34 with one fallopian tube (hydrosalpnix removed) Pregnant 3 times with hydro in place pregnant once on unmonitored clomid after surgery (horrible side effects lining etc did more harm) and one more chemical pregnancy on Femara (ovualted way too early estrogen dropped) Very slight male factor borderline normal Recurrent pregnancy loss panel is fine DNA is fine I do acupuncture and yoga

FSH is 5; antral follicle count is 14 18; Plan was to get multiples follicles on the "good side" for IUI

cycle one: 2 vials of menopur started to produce 5 eggs RE freaked menopur decreased estrogen dropped wound up with 2 eggs on the wrong side

cycle two: 1 1/2 vials of menopur 3 eggs started only 1 follicle finished but on the good side

Since I ovulate on my own there is not much point to take low dose drugs to only get one egg but RE feels that I am too high a responder to take 2 vials She states that I am very sensitive and have too robust a response off the start I am not PCOS but respond too quickly and then drop quickly when decreased My questions:

1 ) Is 4 5 follicles with one tube too many I thought that 3 4 follicles with 2 tubes gave the best chance of pregnancy what's one more follicle with one less tube My RE said that she will allow me to try 2 vials but will cancel with 4 or more follicles Do you agree

2 ) If RE wanted to cancel IUI due to 4 follicles would you have timed intercourse anyway

3 ) RE feels that IVF is the best and safest option to prevent multiples But she does state that I could probably get pregnant naturally but that could take a long time Would you try IVF or more IUI's I actually have no side effects on the injectables and am comfortable

4 ) Any other medication suggestions Do you think that high responders who are not PCOS should go straight to IVF

Hello doctor i'm ttc for 3 yrs my problem is i had irregular periods and
tiny cortical cysts in both ovaries so my OB/GYN prescribed me ginette 35
for 6 cycles after stopping pills my periods were so regular 30 34 days
cycle i'm taking metformin 500mg daily once for past 2 yrs i tried
letrozole 2 5mg for 4 cycles but no luck In april month i didn't take
letroz My question is april 10th i got my periods but there is no proper
flow and it is scanty may 10th is my due date but still no periods Is
there any chance i might be pregnant why scanty periods occur suddenly is

I had ivf the transfer was successful When my husband and I returned to the doctor’s office on December 24^th at this time the doctor conducted a sono we were told that we were having threatening miscarriage He then requested that I do more blood work to see my hcg level and to return in two weeks When I called his office for my results they were good I felt like this stress me out My question is why it seems harder to have a successful pregnancy with ivf This is my second attempt I lost my first set of twins within six months of pregnancy now I am being told that I maybe having a miscarriage Since my last visit I have been checking my panty liner almost every minute I feel a light discharge (small) that is slightly yellow no bleeding just some cramping off and on I should be eight weeks what is my risk I am afraid to return to the doctor’s office in the morning

I have suffered a few chemical pregnancies in the past 1 before my firtst child and 3 in between children I have 2 girls I have heard in the past that it is possable not to be able to carry a certain sex and in my case would thsat mean that I might'nt be able to carry boy's or have I just been unlucky with 4 chemical pregnancies I understand that this may be a complete old wives tale but I was just wondering

Hope you can help

My LMP was Jan 24 2009 My cycles are regular and 30 days each I am 37 and have had two successful and easy pregnancies in my twenties but a miscarriage at 10 wks last year ( no heartbeat was detected)

I am now 2 days late Everything is out of whack because I am having trouble with extended family I have been stressed and unable to eat and I lost five pounds and haven't been sleeping well but all is getting better on that front I took a Walmart Equate Brand Preg Test Last night at 1 day late and dipped it and it was negative within the 10 min time frame but turned positive at some later point

Today I went to the store and purchased a 3 pack of Accuclear I dipped the first test using first morning urine which was at that time a couple of hours old This test was also negative during the 10 min time frame Then twenty min later I used another Accuclear test from the same box and pee'd on this test and did not dip it It was a faint to medium pink color within a few minutes time (well within the 10 minutes) My temp was only 98 2 but I didn't get a full nights sleep

I will try and get a blood test done though I'm not sure what it can tell me I do not want another miscarriage It would be awful to be pregnant only to watch my hormone levels never reach adequacy and end up miscarrying Is there anything I can do

My husband and I have been TTC for a year now and haven't had any lcuk I've never been regular with my period in my life and I've always been very active I was on the pill for about 9 years After going off I didn't get my period for 6 months so my doctor put me on Provera to get my period I did that for about 6 months I got my period but no pregnancy I was scheduled for HSG test last week but she wasn't able to get the catheter in She said I have a small cervix I then got an ultrasound done They discovered I have one uterus and 2 ovaries I'm still waiting to hear back about the results of the ultrasound I'm guessing my next step is a fertility specialist Personally I don't think I ovulate because I keep track of my temps and there are no spikes each month or cervix mucus Can you tell me what you think What does it mean to have a small cervix

I am exclusively breastfeeding my 9 month old currently I know it is not uncommon to not have a moon cycle while nursing With my first baby it came back when he was about 9 months But with every baby after that (3) they reached 18 months and I was only nursing twice a day and still no cycle So with my last I took vitex and stinging nettle to get my cycle back and it worked and I got pregnant however 3 months into my pregnancy my milk dried up So my question is Is there something else I can try such as acupuncture to get pregnant again but will keep my milk supply or is the lack of supply just part of being pregnant

i've had two miscarriages so far and obviously don't want to go through one again tomorrow i see my fertility doctor to discuss my recent surgery to remove uterine polyps (this went well i was told) anyway i wanted to ask you if you had any suggestions as to questions i may ask him about preventing future miscarriages

also one office i spoke with told me they put all of their patients who have experenced miscarriage on progesterone my doctor told me this isn't necessary unless you have low progesteone and can be detrimental to the fetus if you get too much what do you think about this

Me and my hubby have been trying for almost 2 yrs I got pregnant with my son just fine and within a month Me and my hubby neither of us have been with anyone else And I just found out I have chamydia I had a really bad infection after my c section I have had lap surgery on my left tube to open it also 2 rounds of clomid 2 rounds of follistim shots and 2 roundsof IUI Test negative when I was pregnant too for any stds Where did we get this Chamydia from and What are my changes of getting pregnant with IVF

Is it possible to have your period during your nine months of pregnancy I'm asking cause my cycle is irregular me and my mate want to have a child I feel like I have the symptoms even the popping in my stomache and since we thought I might be pregnant my period has come on every month; some months like in December I only spotted very lightly for only a couple of days and it stopped but now in January I'm cycling as if I'm on my full period
