Regulating Cycles more less Question Hi (sorry if this posts twice) My husband and I have been TTC since October '07 Up until then I had been taking birth control pills for almost 3 years My cycles before taking BC pills were very normal Since stopping the pills my cycles have been SUPER long 40 42 days This has made predicting ovulation a bit of a trick I'm charting cervical mucus cervix position etc and did an OPK for 7 days in the middle of this cycle I haven't been sucessful at charting my BBT yet My current cycle started Day 1 on January 6 I had a positive OPK result on Jan 30 (Cycle Day 25) and well timed intercourse to match   I am now on Cycle day 45 and still no sign of my mentrual cycle or pregnancy I expected my bleeding to start over a week ago I have done a series of 4 HPT (because I'm so far past when my period should have arrived) but they have all been negative Any idea what's going on I can't figure it out I'm not pregnant (maybe) but I'm not having my bleeding start either   I am anxious to have my cycles return to normal any advice about getting them back on track Thanks

Irregular Cycles more less Question Hi Victoria My husband and I have been TTC since October '07 Up until then I had been taking birth control pills for almost 3 years Ever since stopping the pills my cycles have been 40 42 days long (which has made timing ovulation very difficult ) My last cycle started on January 6 and I had a positive OPK result on January 30 (Cycle Day 25) We had well timed intercourse and I am now on cycle day 45 without any sign of pregnancy OR a mentrual cycle According to my calculations my period should have arrived over a week ago I have done a series of 4 HPT since the day I expected my period (including today) and they have all been negative So by now I'm totally confused My period has not come yet neither has the pregnancy I suppose that my body needs time to regulate the post pill hormones but is there any way I can speed up the process   My cycles before starting Birth Control were all very regular Thanks

5w1d with PCOS and blighted ovum last year more less Question Hi Vicotria About this time last year (March to be exact) I had a blighted ovum   Since then in Dec 2007 I was diagnosed with PCOS   My last cycle was August 2007   After recognizing some of the early signs of pregnancy (sore breasts and fatigue) I decided to take a test and it was positive   I have three beautiful girls and we have been ttc since we miscarried last year   Right now I am scared that it is another blighted ovum as I have read that this is common with those who suffer from PCOS because of chromosomal or endocrinological issues   I was wondering based on your experience if you found that those you ovulated so late (5 months after their cycle) were more likely to miscarry because of a poorly developed egg   I know that you can't tell me that things are going to be okay or not but I can't find any information on this   I am having a very difficult time with this and am extremely moody   I don't have any HCG levels; they sent me for an u/s for dating right away   Please help me to understand or if you could kindly give me some stats on the liklihood of things progressing considering my LATE ovulation that would be great Thanks in advance for your help

implantation bleeding POS/NEG more less Question   Hello   I need to know if this is possible   10days after ovulation I noticed light pinkish/red blood on the tissue I thought it was the onset of an early cycle (my cycle was not due for another 6 days) well the light bleeding only lasted for a couple hours and then it just stopped  I took a P/T 2days later (day12) and it was POSITIVE I took another P/T the morning my cycle was due and it was NEGATIVE and my cycle started later that day My question is this could I have been pregnant and the fertilized egg just didn't implant/attach to my uterus the right  way   If not then what caused the light bleeding/spotting 6days b4 or my cycle That has never happened b4 Thx

conception at 45 more less Question I have read the odds for a woman aged 45 conceiving twins is significantly increased   I am 45 in April and am hoping this means I might have a chance to conceive if I hyperovulate as women my age do   I also have given birth 6 times have a BMI of 30 and a maternal aunt with fraternal twins   I don't necessarily want to conceive twins I am just wondering if I am correct in assuming if my odds are greater to conceive twins if that might mean I also have a chance to conceive PERIOD Any suggestions   I have decided to NOT use Clomid

thyroid medication and pregnancy more less Question I have 2 healthy children ages 15 & 18 I am 39   had a m/c in July and then another m/c in Nov of this year Had d&c with both The first one we heard no heartbeat and lost it at about 7 weeks The second one we did hear a heartbeat and also seen a fetal pole but lost it again at about 7 weeks Had a blood test to check my eggs and stuff on Dec 19 and doctor said all was normal The next step is to check our chromozones The question I have is if we have already had 2 healthy children wouldn't that prove that our chromozones are okay Someone told me that since my husband is on thyroid medication that that could effect his chromozones He just started his thyroid medication 1 year ago His thyroid was almost burned up Please help me understand The chromozone test cost allot of money and our insurance won't pay for it Is this a test that we should do or is it just another way to milk us for money I want to try again to have another baby but I not sure if our family can handle a third lose

New fertility problem? more less Question Thank you for answering my questions when I have written before We have experienced recurrent pregnancy loss we have had 7 pregnancies and only 1 healthy child All of the losses have been really early My husband and I went through a complete screening in 2004 and the only thing found was that I carry a chromosome balanced translocation We have always been able to get pregnant within 3 or maybe 4 months of starting to try to get pregnant in the past few years We had a loss this summer in June at 5 1/2 weeks and then the the next cycle we had a seemingly chemical pregnancy Since then we have went 7 cycles and have not been able to get pregnant For 2 of the cycles I even took Clomid in trying to create multiple eggs to increase our odds of having a normal egg Both times with clomid u/s showed only 1 mature egg Since the chemical pregnancy in July I have been having a small amount of milk leaking from my breasts In July my prolactin level was normal but I haven't had it checked since then Could that be affecting my fertility I have had regular cycles and have appeared to ovulate from OPKs When I have been checking my BBTs it appears that my temperature doesn't go up until a couple days after ovulation Does that mean anything If my husband had a good sperm count 3 1/2 years ago is it possible that he has a low sperm count now Is it possible that there is something new going on that is affecting our fertility and ability to get pregnant

early ovulation more less Question According to the early edition of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" ovulating before CD10 is not likely to result in a viable egg tor TTC   What is your opinion   Last cycle ovulation was very delayed after three tries my body finally rose the occasion and i ovulated about CD30   I am in my mid 40s but most of my cycles are still regular last winter they similarly went awry  but my stress levels were very high and i was not sleeping as well They returned to normal (tend to O on CD 12 or 13) unitl this past cycle   Anyway we are ttc 8 months post vasectomy reversal and it has been an emotional rollercoaster no matter how hard we try to stay realistic   i was hoping to start the two week wait on a realistic note by getting your opinion and if possible any online references related to early ovulation   thanks
