Question Hi my husband and I have been ttc since Oct 2005 1 year later we started the infertility process trying to find out what is wrong or why we haven't been able to conceive We have a 4 year old daughter now that was actually conceived while I was on the pill All of my tests and my husbands came back normal In January they started me on 50mg of chlomid but I ovulated on day 10 so they started me on 100mg in February March my dose was increased to 150mg In Feb & March I had an ultrasound on day 12 In February I only had 1 follicle that was close to size and was given an ultrasound again on day 14 and was given the HCG injection March the same scenario only I actually had 2 very good size follicles on day 14 both about 20mm The doctor even came in to tell me that if I did conceive it would more than likely be twins (I got my hopes up thinking that maybe this month was my turn) Day 29 came along and I woke up that morning and started my period I am now on my 4th round of chlomid staying on the 150mg dose since it seemed to work better for me I am wondering at to what point do I stop this or how long is it safe for me to be taking it This month my husband was a little hesitant at allowing me to give it another try saying why its not working & its expensive I said I wanted to give it a try again since the first 2 months didn't seem to make a difference in my follicles for me I have had mixed opinions on when I am supposed to try or when we should have intercourse if I am given the HCG injection on day 14 I have been having 28 day cycles now Any other advice you could offer on what we should be trying or other meds to give a shot if this one doesn't work again this month Thanks in advance for your response Rebecca rebecca 0 566 4/1/07 8:00 pm   low hcg levels Question I had twins 12 years ago and have never dealt with this whole HCG thing I am pregnant now at the age of 34 I had an ultrasound and it looks to be about 3 to 4 weeks along My HCG level was 4000 was told that is low had another blood test 2 days later and it came back at 5300 Doctor told me it doesnt look good Going for another test on Monday Is it reaaly low and does this mean bad news or is there maybe a chance I dont want to give up up Please help me with trying to understand Looked on internet and to me levels dont look bad HELP Answer hryle29 1 642 3/31/07 4:14 pm XRAYs Question 3 questions: What harms do XRAYs pose to a fetus what are the chances of a fetus being "harmed" when exposed to an XRAY and are there any times during a fetus's developement that an XRAY cannot harm it The reason I'm asking is because I could possibly be about 3 weeks pregnant and was accidently exposed to an XRAY today I took my daughter in for a routine XRAY for her scoliosis and they started snapping away before I even had a chance to let them know I was trying to conceive and didn't need to be in there until after they were done As soon as my little girl hopped on the table they were taking XRAYS (3 pictures to be exact) so I really just couldn't have done anything differently except for making her walk in there scared and alone all by herself I am just shocked that it happened Usually they'll give me a chance to walk her in the room and then tell them if I'm pregnant or might be pregnant or they'll even offer a safety vest and ask if I prefer to stay out of the room Not this time though I feel absolutely horrible and scared Answer Avasmomma 1 710 3/31/07 1:57 am   could i be pregnant so soon?
