Homebody more less Question My daughter is 11 years old who seems to be a real homebody Its hard to get her out of the house once I do she enjoys herself I ask her if she wants to do something special her choice the thing is she never comes up with anything I try to encourage her to try new things and she becomes hesitant She is still attached to me and seems to want to spend a lot of time with me I try to get her to call her friends even to talk to them on the phone and she doesnt want to She has a few good friends at school and talks to them online When we go somewhere with others she gets very quiet and stays with me when she doesnt know anyone and wont even try to go off by herself and try new things or meet other children that are there I dont push her away or pressure her but I do worry about her I dont know how to help her to start to go off and feel secure on her own in social situations I know she is still young When I see other children getting together and having fun and she is sitting with me with the adults I feel bad that she isnt joining in and having fun with the other children Is there anyway I can help her to break away even if its gradually It breaks my heart

Borderline Personality Disorder more less Question My ex husband and I have two precious children from our marriage ages 4 and 7 The ex still battles a prescription pill Narcotics' addiction and has also been clinically diagnosed with Narcissism and Borderline Personality Disorder I am careful to not discuss his drug habit or lying behavior to the children because I do not want to hurt their impression of him However I am not sure how to battle the lies he makes up about me to them It causes them much confusion but I know they love their dad A judge recently ordered supervised visitation due to his habits and behavior yet the ex has not bothered to see them just yet He is about to begin visitation and his behavior is very negative and toxic he is jealous of my new marriage and 2 additional children I had with my new husband How can I establish boundaries on his behavior and antics without harming my children
