I have been making microwavable heat packs/freezable cold packs for three years. In April 2006 I started an online store Comfort Care Creations to sell the packs. I have not had any sales from that, but have sold many to my co-workers and people I meet. I attended the LWL conference in Carson a month or so ago (which is how I found you)and see that many of the attendees have their products in magaznes. They did not pay for advertising but their products were shown as things to purchase etc. How does a person go about that? I really need to get sales going. I work for a non-profit 25 hours a week and try to work my business on Mondays and after work. My goal is to have my products in local Day Spas but need more money to purchase items to make my product more presentable and marketable. Such as custom ribbon, a logo, tags and packaging. I would love to quit my job but like most people, cannot afford to do that.(yet). I'd appreciate any help/advice. Thank you so much.
Valeri P.S. Sorry about your losses. I lost my mom 3 years ago,and boy could I use her advice now. :scream: |

The have relationships with the press and they understand how to keep spinning a story until it makes sense for the party they are pitching it to. Some small business owners try to act as their own publicist but I do not usually agree with that unless you are really savvy in doing so. Pitching and following up from pitches can be very time intensive and that can distract you from running your business and doing sales. Sometimes you may have a friend who is really good at sales and marketing and may “volunteer” to help get you started to drives sales for a bit before you can allocate the dollars to a publicist.
Often people will say they can’t afford a publicist but if.... Read More |
