How Could I Broaden My Reach with a Stylish Medical Accessory??

Greetings Jen,

I've recently (nov '07) launched my company Stick Me Designs, that produces stylish glucose meter bags for people with diabetes.  I decided to give my idea a try after getting GD with my second son Ace, and not wanting to carry around such a boring black nylon bag for my meter supplies.  So far the response has been fantastic from the message boards, Facebook, and W-O-M buzz. I'm already having our next collection of 3 new  bags created.

But my question is how do I really penetrate this vast market?   I know I have a product that would carve a niche out in the diabetes community but not sure how to go about it because it is in a sense a 'luxury' type item, for a medical need.  The market potential is enormous from a business stand-point and just capturing 4% would be phenomenal success!  And these are they types of goals I'm striving for.

I'm working with a publicist right now and I'm prayerfully hoping that this will bring in some much needed press.  Currently I'm self-funding my start-up with credit and have about 10k that I could work with.  I don't want to go that far in debt without truly knowing if my products could really, really take off.  I've got big dreams for this one :)

Any advice as to how to put my products out there and start to gain the attention that would propel my one of a kind products to the next level??  Or at least keep a steady stream of sales coming in?

Best Regards,
Rickina Velte
