I have heard some scary stories of people dying from peanut allergies. I hear about peanut allergies more and more...Does anyone know why someone can get an allergy like this?

I am pregnant and have not had any peanut butter at all for fear of hurting the baby, it might sound stupid but it took me a while to conceive this child! I am a worrier so if I avoid things all together then I won't worry!!

There are no food allergies that I know of on either side of the baby's family..I just want to know if eating peanut butter during pregnancy will harm the baby.
